Photo Stories: Beauty on a Limb

Title: Beauty on a Limb | This serene little picture was quite a challenge.
November 14, 2008. That is the date this photograph was taken. And let me tell ya, it was hard to get. The place wasn't hard to get to, it was an overlook just off the side of the road, but the weather was cold and blustery. Waving wildly in the wind was this flower covered limb and despite being lashed several times by said limb, I was determined to get a good picture. I struggled and shivered for 15 minutes or so before all went calm. Just a few seconds was all it took for me to focus and take this image. The only good picture of this flower I got. Enjoy!

It was worth the effort. Gorgeous.

Wow! Your flower photos are consistently gorgeous. And I sympathize with the windy photography. It's hard to stick with it when your subject is blowing all over the place. Great job! (Is it odd to see flowers in November, or is that normal in Oklahoma?)

Hey Sam,

Thanks for the encouragement. Some seasons there are flowers, some seasons there aren't you just never know. :)
