Photo Stories: Rustling in the Breeze

A shaft of dormant grass wafts in the breeze.

More from November 15, 2008. I told you it was a good day. Anyway, this photograph was also taken while I was on my way to the location I wanted to be at. Oddly enough I got more keeper shots to and from the location than I got on location, oh well. On the left hand side of the image you can make out a blurry balckish-brown blob. That was some kind of prickly seed pod and others like it had this poor patch of grass surrounded. I like to lay down while I shoot to get the right angle, but those prickly pods prevented that. I remember my legs burning as I sat crouched on my haunches, waiting for that blade of grass to quit swaying in the breeze. This image is also uncropped.

As always, great imagery!

It's funny how you mentioned that your legs were burning. As the viewer, you don't really consider what the photographer physically put into taking the shot.

I really like the setup for this one with the beautiful bit of blue sky and the clarity of the grass. Another great shot!
