Weekend Rundown.

Well, no video. Sorry I didn't get one made. Thursday was my birthday as well as Thanksgiving, Friday  was "Black Friday" so Staples had me working all day, and today I woke up under the weather. So, I'm just going to move onward from here and drop this weeks video. A new photo story is coming Monday!

The videos are made, but...

the videos are made but I'm having a hard time loading them. Yesterday my fiancée and I spent the whole day at the Oklahoma City Zoo, so I didn't do any editing last night. Today I edited our 30+ minute video into 10 minute and 5 minute videos. Sorry to delay, but thank you for your understanding.

My apologies.

I think I need to move the weekly videos to Saturday. Friday is such a good day to film on that I don't seem to have time to do both filming and editing on the same day. So from now on I will be posting the videos on Saturday. Thanks for reading.

I made it back...

No, I didn't go anywhere, but life sure did come at me fast. Life is still moving fast, but I seem to have found time to post anyway. One of the reasons for my silence was my downloading of a new program. The program is called Bsecure and it is an internet filter/limiter. I heard about it on the radio and thought it would be a good idea to have since I don't want to even stumble upon the despicable stuff that floats around the internet. Bsecure seems like a good product, but because of some unique computer architecture it completely disabled my ability to connect to the internet! After a few days of fiddling (the rest of life limited me to just a few minutes of fiddling at a time) I finally contacted tech support. I shot them an email and to my surprise they called me on the phone just an half-hour later. The very nice tech had me up and running in about 5 minutes and even walked me through how to make Bsecure and my anti-virus play nice.

The Photographer's Personal Ponderings 2: Lazy Lazy Lazy

I feel lazy. Don't you hate it when you feel like that? I admit I can be lazy on the weekdays when I don't go to "work". I sleep way too long and accomplish little until the afternoon rolls around. I could list all things I'm doing and make a case for why I'm not all that lazy but, I won't. I won't because I think I might just have fallen into a habit of laziness. I look around and I see I'm no lazier than any other American (the majority anyway), but I'm reminded in the Bible that we shouldn't compare ourselves to one another. No, even if I neglect comparing myself to Christ and compare myself to other biblical figures I can't find a good one that outdoes me in the laziness department.

Hmmm... By saying I have the habit of lazy, I don't mean resting when needed. I'm talking about resting for no reason. Resting when there are things to be done. A bit like gluttony when one eats because one can. I could go a while on that one too, but I won't. I'm going to purpose to do better. I can't promise I will do better, but with God's help I don't know how I could fail!

So, that's all I wanted to say, and boy do I feel lazy. I think I'll  go back to bed....

Downtime

Hello everyone! I was planning on a productive day of image processing and post making. Unfortunately, while processing pics my computer "froze". This wasn't a normal freeze, it just disabled my keyboard and mouse (I have a tablet pc so I could still use my wacom pen to interact with the computer). Anyway, long story made short, I have spent the rest of the day cleaning up my laptop. As I type the last phase of clean up is running and when it's done, I'm going to eat dinner and after that more image processing. So, I guess I'll get to you guys later tonight if all goes well...
